Office of Internal Audit

The purpose of the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (Department) Office of Internal Audit (OIA) is to provide independent, objective assurance and consulting services designed to add value and improve the Department's operations. The mission of OIA is to “Provide Services for DEQ’s Success” by enhancing and protecting organizational value with risk-based and objective assurance, advice, and insight. OIA assists the Department in accomplishing its objectives of the organization's governance, risk management, and control processes.
