About Us
The Office of Public Affairs supports DEQ's initiatives and objectives through communications, outreach and dissemination of information to the public in a professional, accessible and universally understood way.
Our Public Affairs staff coordinate the department's communications and outreach efforts including media and public relations, digital communications, publication production, special events and public information programs and initiatives.
Public Affairs works across the department to provide strategic communications support, promote transparency and public engagement, and ensure information about NCDEQ’s programs, activities and initiatives is effectively shared with the public.
