Erica comes to us from The Ocean Foundation, having served as a Program Officer and Head of the Plastics Initiative. She executed strategic policy initiatives to address critical issues in the international governance of plastic pollution and chemicals management. She also developed engagement strategies for the organization while overseeing a $2.5M budget for international grantmaking and program execution. Prior to that, she served in a variety of roles within the U.S. Department of Commerce/NOAA for approximately 15 years, including duties as an International Affairs Specialist and International Program Coordinator in Washington, DC. She was also a Vessel Monitoring Systems Technician in the NOAA Office of Law Enforcement, St. Petersburg, FL, monitoring commercial fishing activities across five geographic regions. She originally hails from Massachusetts and is a graduate of St. Petersburg College, St. Petersburg, FL.
