The N.C. Department of Environmental Quality’s Division of Air Quality (DAQ) is seeking public comment on a draft air quality permit for Dura-Supreme, LLC - Statesville, a new wood cabinet manufacturing facility in Iredell County.

Comments will be accepted until Nov. 16, 2023.

Dura-Supreme applied to DAQ for a Title V air quality permit to construct and operate the new facility. Because emissions of volatile organic compounds would be greater than 100 tons per year, the facility would be classified as a major source.

This facility applied for an Air Quality Title V Operation Permit which meets the requirements specified in 15A North Carolina Administrative Code 2Q.0500.

The N.C. Department of Environmental Quality’s Division of Air Quality (DAQ), has issued a Title V air quality permit to CertainTeed, LLC - Oxford Facility. The permit will allow the company to construct and operate a new fiberglass mat manufacturing facility beside its existing asphalt roofing manufacturing plant in Granville County.

To receive comments on DEQ-DAQ’s proposed request for delegation of authority to implement and enforce the Federal Plan for Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) Landfills under 40 CFR Part 62, Subpart OOO along with the accompanying draft Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) and the proposed State Plan to implement in North Carolina the Emission Guidelines for MSW Landfills in 40 CFR Part 60, Subpart Cf.
