The N.C. Department of Environmental Quality’s Solid Waste Section has prepared draft Solid Waste Permit, No. 8807-MSWLF-1990, approving a lateral expansion, Phase 7, of the existing lined Transylvania County municipal solid waste (MSW) landfill.   The facility is located at 500 Howell Road, Brevard, NC.  The draft permit is available for public review and comment.

The N.C. Department of Environmental Quality’s Solid Waste Section has prepared draft Solid Waste Permit No. 9001-CDLF-1998 that would approve a horizontal and vertical expansion to the Union County Construction and Demolition Debris Landfill (CDLF).

Draft Permit 5203-CDLF-2013 for expansion of Maysville C&D Landfill located at 11710 Highway 17, Maysville, NC has been prepared. 

The Division of Waste Management - Solid Waste Section will host a public hearing to accept public comments on Draft Permit 3402-MSWLF-1997 for horizontal expansion to add additional capacity and to extend the life of the Hanes Mill Road Landfill.  The landfill is located at 325 W. Hanes Mill Road, Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, NC.
