Alcatel-Lucent USA, Inc. (600 Mountain Ave, Rm 7F-407A, Murray Hill, NJ 07974) has requested renewal of NPDES permit NC0080853 for its Salem Business Park groundwater remediation site, located in Forsyth County. This permitted facility discharges remediated groundwater to Salem Creek, a class C water in the Yadkin-Pee Dee River Basin.  Currently total suspended solids and tetrachloroethene are water quality limited.  This discharge may affect future allocations in this segment of Salem Creek.
