The N.C. Climate Education Network (NCCEN) has selected three winners in a statewide art contest focusing on climate change. More than 60 K-12 students participated creating visual art using 30-year climate graphs and data. The winners are:

Elementary:      Hansithi Teluguntla, Fuller Elementary

The N.C. Division of Water Resources has released the draft 2022 North Carolina 303(d) list and is requesting public comment. The draft 303(d) list, listing methodology, and additional information can be accessed on the website. The draft 303(d) list may be modified based on the comments received. The final North Carolina 2022 303(d) list will be posted after EPA approval.
North Carolina’s Drought Management Advisory Council (DMAC) has expanded its Severe Drought category for portions of the Blue Ridge Mountains through the Sandhills, most of the southern coastal plains, and along the entire eastern coastal area.
