Currently, BOD, ammonia nitrogen and total residual chlorine are water quality limited. This discharge may affect future wasteload allocations in this portion of the receiving stream.

Department of Environmental Quality will hold a public hearing to accept comments on the proposed draft NPDES stormwater and wastewater permits for the Belews Creek Steam Station at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15 at the Stokes County Courthouse, 1012 Main St., Danbury, N.C. Speaker registration will begin at 5 p.m.

CANCELED: Public Hearing on Duke Energy's Weatherspoon Plant Draft Wastewater & Stormwater Permits

Due to ongoing disaster recovery efforts in Robeson County, the Oct. 25 public hearing for the Weatherspoon facility water quality permits has been canceled. When a new hearing date and venue is determined, a public notice will issued and the hearing information will be desiminated through news releases and the DEQ website.
