You are invited to participate in a planning meeting and group session regarding the rules review process for the rules of the Solid Waste Section of the Division of Waste Management, 15A NCAC 13B. At the meeting we will be discussing the process, revealing a tentative timetable, and seeking volunteers for a collaborative stakeholder process.

The Policy Board for the Albemarle-Pamlico National Estuary Partnership works with the APNEP program office and its host agency (NC Department of Environmental Quality) to support, evaluate, update, advocate and guide the implementation of APNEP's mission.  The Policy Board includes representation from various interests in the basin.

The Air Quality Committee is scheduled to meet in the Archdale Building Ground Floor Hearing Room from 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on January 11, 2017. 

Meeting Details

The purpose of the public meeting is to provide an update on recent activities and discuss next steps. Representatives from EPA, North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality, and North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services will be available to answer questions or address concerns that residents may have regarding contamination from the Site.

Navassa residents and other stake holders are invited to the next Public Meeting about the former Kerr-McGee Chemical Corporation Superfund Site in Navassa, North Carolina.

The N.C. Department of Environmental Quality, or DEQ, is inviting people to a public meeting about the state-directed work to address asbestos contamination at Metrolina Warehouses, LLC, 301 Depot St. in Davidson. Representatives from DEQ and the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services will answer questions about the assessment and cleanup of the contamination.
