The state Secretaries’ Science Advisory Board will meet on Monday, December 6, via WebEx. The public is invited to attend the meeting online or by phone. DEQ staff will provide updates about the Environmental Protection Agency’s PFAS Roadmap as it relates to the North Carolina Emerging Contaminant Framework as well as recent regulatory efforts. There will also be a presentation from the EPA about its recent GenX Toxicity Assessment.

The N.C. Division of Marine Fisheries will hold an in-person public hearing on a proposed shellfish lease in Pamlico County at 6 p.m. Wednesday, December 20 at the Pamlico County Courthouse, Commissioner’s Room, 202 Main Street, Bayboro.
