Public Hearing for Enviva Pellets Northampton, LLC

May 24, 2021, 10pm
The Division of Air Quality (DAQ) will host a digital public hearing on Monday, May 24 on the draft Title V permit for Enviva Northampton, LLC.  The facility is required to obtain a Title V permit under the terms of its current operating permit. The draft Title V permit does not include any significant operational changes at the wood pellet facility and the potential to emit remains the same as under the current permit.

Britt (904 Langston Rd., Newton Grove, NC 28366) is currently permitted under the Swine Waste Management System General Permit (AWG100000; COC No. AWS510020) for Sammy Britt Farm Houses 1-6 (Facility No. 51-20), a farm located in Johnston County. This facility applies treated wastewater to adjacent spray fields, and has applied for coverage under the Swine Waste Management System NPDES General Permit (NCA200000; COC No. NCA251020).
