Officials with the N.C. Department of Environmental Quality will host three listening sessions to obtain additional community feedback on the proposed Atlantic Coast Pipeline project that will traverse eight North Carolina counties. Atlantic Coast Pipeline, LLC is proposing to construct one compressor station and install about 186 miles of 36-inch transmission pipeline in Northampton, Halifax, Nash, Wilson, Johnston, Sampson, Cumberland and Robeson counties.

The listening sessions are scheduled for:

Michael Corn (735 Butler Bridge Road, Fletcher, N.C. 28732) has applied for the renewal of coverage under the non-discharge Cattle Waste Management System NPDES General Permit (NCA300000) for the Small Acres Dairy (Facility No. 45-7) in Henderson County. This facility is currently permitted under the NPDES Cattle Waste Management System General Permit (NCA300000; COC No. NCA345007) and applies treated wastewater to adjacent sprayfields. Written comments must be received before the end of the comment period which is Sept. 8, 2017.
