This proclamation closes approximately 13 acres in Myrtle Grove Sound in the B-5 Growing Area of New Hanover County, 3 acres near Snead Ferry in the C-2 Growing Area of Onslow County, 1 acre in Sleepy Creek in the E-6 Growing Area of Carteret County, 20 acres in Westmouth Bay in the E-6 Growing Area of Carteret County, 6 acres in Core Sound in the E-8 Growing Area of Carteret County, 1 acre in Core Sound in the E-9 Growing Area of Carteret County, 4 acres in Whealton Creek in the F-6 Growing Area of Pamlico County, and 26 acres near Horsepen Point in the G-6 Growing Area of Hyde County.

This proclamation also opens approximately 174 acres in Myrtle Grove and Masonboro Sounds in the B-5 Growing Area of New Hanover County and 160 acres in Broad Creek in the H-1 Growing Area of Dare County.

Effective Date: Effective at sunrise, Tuesday, September 9, 2025, this proclamation supersedes PA-PC-2025 and brings together in one document all areas which are permanently closed to shellfish harvesting.
