The American Zinc Products, LLC (484 Hicks Grove Rd. Mooresboro, NC 28114) has applied for a major modification of its NPDES permit NC0089109 for the Rutherford County Production Facility in Rutherford County . This permitted facility discharges treated industrial wastewater to the Broad River in the Broad River Basin. The permit is being modified to expand the flow to 0.98 MGD. Currently total cadmium and total lead are water quality limited. This discharge may affect future allocations in this portion of the Broad River Basin.
