N.C. DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY INTENT TO ISSUE NPDES WASTEWATER DISCHARGE PERMIT #NC0090522
Public comment or objection to the draft permit is invited. All comments received by October 19, 2026, will be considered in the final determination regarding permit issuance and permit provisions.
PERMIT APPLICATION
ATI Specialty Materials, LLC, 2020 Ashcraft Ave., P.O. Box 5030, Monroe, N.C., has applied for a new NPDES wastewater permit (NC0090522) for ATI North Baker Campus, 6400 Alloy Way, Monroe, Union County. The facility discharges non-contact cooling water and stormwater to Dry Fork in the Yadkin-Pee Dee River basin. Some parameters are water quality limited. This discharge may affect future allocations in this portion of the Yadkin-Pee Dee River basin.
