N.C. DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY INTENT TO ISSUE NPDES WASTEWATER DISCHARGE PERMIT NC0089087
Public comment or objection to the draft permit is invited. All comments received by July 17, 2026, will be considered in the final determination regarding permit issuance and permit provisions.
PERMIT APPLICATION
Ergon Asphalt and Emulsion, 2520 Wilco Boulevard South, Wilson NC 27893, has requested a renewal of NPDES wastewater permit (NC0089087) for its Wastewater Treatment Plant located in Wilson County. The facility discharges industrial stormwater to an unnamed tributary to Contentnea Creek, a class C;Sw,NSW water in the Neuse River Basin. This discharge may affect future allocations in this portion of Contentnea Creek.
