N.C. DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY INTENT TO ISSUE NPDES WASTEWATER DISCHARGE PERMIT No. NC0073229
Public comment or objection to the draft permit is invited. All comments received by August 29, 2026, will be considered in the final determination regarding permit issuance and permit provisions.
PERMIT APPLICATION
Weyerhaeuser NR Company – Greenville Lumber Facility, located at 371 E Hanrahan Road, Grifton, NC 28530, has requested renewal of NPDES wastewater permit NC0073229 located in Pitt County. The facility discharges stormwater and wet decking wastewater to an Unnamed Tributary to Swift Creek, a class C;Sw,NSW water in Neuse River Basin. Some parameters are water quality limited. This discharge may affect future allocations in this portion of Neuse River Basin.
