The Division of Waste Management - Solid Waste Section has prepared Draft Permit 3402-MSWLF-1997 allowing horizontal expansion to add additional capacity and to extend the life of the Hanes Mill Road Landfill located at 325 W. Hanes Mill Road, Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, NC. The draft permit is available for public review and comment.
Public comment period on Draft Permit 3402-MSWLF-1997 begins on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, and ends at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 23, 2024.
A public hearing is scheduled for February 8, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. at the DEQ Winston -Salem Regional Office, 450 W. Hanes Mill Road, Suite 300, Winston-Salem.
