PUBLIC NOTICE
N.C. DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY INTENT TO ISSUE NPDES WASTEWATER DISCHARGE PERMIT #NC0048305
Public comment or objection to the draft permit is invited. All comments received by December 29, 2025, will be considered in the final determination regarding permit issuance and permit provisions.
PERMIT APPLICATION
Tryon Finishing Corporation, P.O. Box 1579, Tryon, N.C., has applied for a Renewal of its NPDES wastewater permit (NC0048305) for Carolina Yarn Processors, 250 Scriven Rd., Tryon, Polk County. The facility discharges treated industrial wastewater to unnamed tributary to North Pacolet River, Broad River Basin. Some parameters are water quality limited. This discharge may affect future allocations in this portion of the Broad River Basin.

• Outfall 001: Latitude 35°12'59", Longitude 82°14'13"
• Outfalls 002 and 003: Latitude 35°13'05", Longitude 82°14'09"
