The NC Marine Fisheries Commission Nominating Committee will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, at the NC Department of Environmental Quality’s Division of Marine Fisheries Central District Office, 5285 Highway 70 W, Morehead City.
The committee will review applicants and select candidates to recommend to the Marine Fisheries Commission for at-large seats on two federal fisheries boards: the South Atlantic Fishery Management Council and the Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council. The Marine Fisheries Commission is scheduled to vote at its November meeting to recommend candidates to Governor Josh Stein, who will, in turn, make recommendations for appointments to the US Secretary of Commerce.
