Notice of Intent to Issue a NPDES Wastewater Permit NC0020338 Yadkinville WWTP
The North Carolina Environmental Management Commission proposes to issue a NPDES wastewater discharge permit to the person(s) listed below. Written comments regarding the proposed permit will be accepted until 30 days after the publish date of this notice. The Director of the NC Division of Water Resources (DWR) may hold a public hearing should there be a significant degree of public interest. Please mail comments and/or information requests to DWR at the above address. Interested persons may visit the DWR at 512 N. Salisbury Street, Raleigh, NC 27604 to review information on file. The Town of Yadkinville (P.O. Drawer 816, Yadkinville, NC 28379) has requested a modification of NPDES permit NC0020338 for its Wastewater Treatment Plant in Yadkin County. This permitted facility discharges 2.5 MGD of treated wastewater to the North Deep Creek in the Yadkin Pee-Dee River Basin. Ammonia, biochemical oxygen demand, fecal coliform, pH, total residual chlorine, total copper, and total suspended solids are water quality limited parameters. This discharge may affect future allocations in this portion of the Yadkin Pee-Dee River Basin. (A Public Notice ad will run in the Yadkin Ripple on 4/14/22).
