Notice of Intent to Issue an NPDES Wastewater Permit No. NC0026352-Bladenboro WWTP
The North Carolina Environmental Management Commission proposes to issue an NPDES wastewater discharge permit to the person(s) listed below. Written comments regarding the proposed permit will be accepted until 30 days after the publication date of this notice. The Director of the NC Division of Water Resources (DWR) may hold a public hearing should there be a significant degree of public interest. Please mail comments and/or information requests to DWR at the above address. Interested persons may visit DWR at 512 N. Salisbury Street, Raleigh, NC 27604, to review the information on file. The Town of Bladenboro has requested renewal of NPDES Permit No. NC0026352 for the Bladenboro Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), located in Bladenboro, North Carolina. This facility discharges treated municipal and industrial wastewater to Bryant Swamp, classified as Class C; Swamp Waters (SW), within the Lumber River Basin. This discharge may affect future waste load allocations in this segment of the Lumber River Basin. (Public Notice is scheduled to be published in Bladen Journal on 3/24/26.)
