Notice of Intent to Issue NPDES Wastewater Permits for Alamance-Burlington School System 
The North Carolina Environmental Management Commission proposes to issue NPDES wastewater discharge permits to the persons listed below. Written comments regarding the proposed permits will be accepted until 30 days after the publication date of this notice. The Director of the NC Division of Water Resources (DWR) may hold a public hearing should there be a significant degree of public interest. Please mail comments and/or information requests to DWR at the address listed above. Interested persons may visit DWR at 512 N. Salisbury Street, Raleigh, NC 27604, to review the information on file. The Alamance-Burlington School System has requested renewal of permit NC0031607 for the Western Alamance Middle School WWTP (2100 Eldon Drive, Elon, NC 27244) in Alamance County. This permitted facility discharges treated wastewater to the Haw River in the Cape Fear River Basin. Fecal coliform and total residual chlorine are currently water-quality limited parameters. This discharge may affect future allocations in this portion of the Haw River.

This discharge may affect future allocations in this portion of Cane Creek.
