The Town of Beaufort (PO Box 390, Beaufort, NC 28516) has applied for renewal of NPDES permit NC0072699 for the Pine Street WTP in Carteret County. This permitted facility discharges treated wastewater to an unnamed tributary to Town Creek in the White Oak River Basin. Currently, total suspended solids, total residual chlorine, total copper, total lead, and total zinc are water quality limited. This discharge may affect future allocations in this portion of the White Oak River Basin.
