The North Carolina Division of Air Quality, DAQ, operates a network of air quality monitors across the state. Every year the monitoring network is re-evaluated and adjusted to ensure it is providing adequate coverage. The proposed annual network plan is subject to a 30-day public review period prior to being submitted to EPA for approval.

The draft of the 2023-2024 Annual Monitoring Network Plan for North Carolina Air Quality is available for public review on the DAQ website.

Public comments will be accepted from May 25, 2023 until 5 p.m. on June 26, 2023. Email comments to DEQ.AQ.ask_ambient@ncdenr.gov.
