The State Water Infrastructure Authority will meet Wednesday, Feb. 13 at the American Institute of Architects of North Carolina Building, 14 E. Peace Street, Raleigh. Agenda items include two presentations:

  • “Viability in Rural Water and Wastewater Systems”, by Daniel Wilson, Executive Director, North Carolina Rural Water Association.
  • “Decentralized Water and Wastewater System Management Options for North Carolina”, by Victor D’Amato, PE, Associate Director, Tetra Tech.

The meeting is open to the public, with an opportunity for informal public comments.

The authority is an independent body with primary responsibility for awarding federal and state funding for water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Other responsibilities include developing a state water infrastructure master plan, recommending ways to maximize the use of available loan and grant funding resources, and examining best and emerging practices.
