The Division of Coastal Management (DCM) is seeking professional services from qualified organizations to provide technical assistance to localities participating in Phases 1 and 2 of the N.C. Resilient Coastal Communities Program (RCCP). A Request for Applications is now available to identify contractors who will lead the effort in completing Phases 1 and 2 of the program using DCM’s RCCP Planning Handbook.

The N.C. Coastal Reserve and National Estuarine Research Reserve will hold local advisory committee meetings by web conference December 1-11, 2020. The public may join the meetings online or by phone.

The North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality’s (DEQ) Division of Air Quality (DAQ) will begin accepting proposals in January for Level 2 charging projects to be funded by Phase 1 of the NC Volkswagen Mitigation Settlement Program. DEQ allocated 25% of the Phase 1 Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) infrastructure allocation, or approximately $1.1 million, to Level 2 charging infrastructure projects.

The N.C. Division of Marine Fisheries is looking for commercial and recreational fishermen, scientists, representatives of non-government organizations, and other interested parties to sit on a Shrimp Fishery Management Plan Advisory Committee.

The Department of Environmental Quality’s (DEQ) Division of Water Resources (DWR) is requesting public comments on proposed changes to a portion of DEQ's groundwater classifications and standards rules.

The N.C. Coastal Resources Commission (CRC) will meet November 18 by video conference. The meeting will begin at 9 a.m.  Prior to the commission meeting, the Coastal Resources Advisory Council will meet at 1 p.m. Nov. 17 also by video conference.
