The N.C. Department of Environmental Quality’s Division of Air Quality (DAQ) is seeking public comment on a draft air quality permit for Wolfspeed, Inc. – Siler City Factory.

Ten North Carolina recycling companies received a total of $442,500 in business development grant funding from the Department of Environmental Quality's (DEQ) Recycling Business Assistance Center (RBAC). The grants are projected to create 135 jobs and generate an investment of more than $1.66 million in recycling infrastructure while reducing the state’s dependence on landfill disposal.

At the chair’s discretion, comments may be limited to three minutes per person. The Coastal Resources Advisory Council (CRAC) will meet at 3 p.m. on April 25 at the same location. Both meetings are open to the public.
