Public Notices of Seized Property

In accordance with NCGS 113-137, the following webpage will serve as public notice that the following gear/property has been seized by the NC Marine Patrol. The link(s) to seized gear/property will be active for 30 days. Any person wishing to claim ownership will need to contact the listed point of contact in the posting. Any gear/property left unclaimed after 30 days will be sold, destroyed or otherwise disposed of in accordance with NCGS 113-137.

Fish Pot from Pungo River

On August 26, 2024, one fish pot was seized from Pungo River between Jordan Creek, and Field Point in accordance with NCGS 113-137. Also, in accordance with NCGS 113-137, the NC Marine Patrol is attempting to locate the owner(s) of the above listed gear. If the above gear is not claimed within thirty days of this notice, it will be taken before the Beaufort County District Court and disposed of according to a judge’s order.

Any person wishing to claim ownership of the commercial gear listed above, you must file a claim with the NC Marine Patrol, Attn: Officer Dawson Cagle, by close of business on Saturday, September 28, 2024, or it will be forfeited and disposed of in accordance with NCGS 113-137.
