Calling all grant writers! The MARC Grant Solicitations for FY2023 are NOW OPEN! Need a letter of support from us? Reach out to one of the individuals listed in the Contacts below as soon as possible! There are a wide variety of grants available, and there have been some changes from years past, so check out the link below for more details from EPA. Have questions? EPA has planned several webinars to discuss the requirements and address questions. The schedule is posted at the link below.

The Development Finance Initiative (DFI) at the UNC School of Government provides specialized finance and development expertise to local governments to attract private investment for projects, including sites where redevelopment has been difficult in the past. DFI partners with communities on building reuse and downtown revitalization, community and neighborhood development, economic development, and more.

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Deputy Under Secretary for Rural Development Bette Brand announced that USDA is seeking grant applications for projects to improve housing, community facilities, and community and economic development in rural areas. The EPA administers small Technical Assistance Grants to communities through the state Brownfields Programs, currently, one grant is awarded per state, in the amount of $20,000 and is intended for technical advisory support or market research funding. The 2021 TAG community in North Carolina was the Town of Mayodan, and the state submitted an application on its behalf.
