The Department of Environmental Quality hereby gives public notice as required by NCGS 113A-119(b) that the following application was submitted for a development permit in an Area of Environmental Concern as designated under the CAMA: On June 10, 2016, the Town of Ocean Isle Beach proposed to construct a terminal groin at the east end of Ocean Isle Beach, east of Shallotte Blvd., adjacent to the Atlantic Ocean, in Ocean Isle Beach,    Brunswick County. A copy of the application can be examined or copied at the office of Tara MacPherson, N.C. Dept.

The Department of Environmental Quality hereby gives public notice as required by NCGS 113A-119(b) that the following application was submitted for a development permit in an Area of Environmental Concern as designated under the CAMA: On June 9, 2016, LP Homes proposed to develop a 14-lot subdivision (The Village at Lucas Cove), with associated roads, and to construct a bulkhead and community docking facility on East Yacht Dr., between NE 61st & NE 62nd Streets, adjacent to the AIWW in Oak Island, Brunswick County.

The N.C. Dept. of Environment Quality hereby gives public notice that the Division of Coastal Management (DCM) has received a Federal consistency determination from the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers (USACE).  DCM will evaluate the consistency determination for conformance with the enforceable policies of N.C.’s Coastal Management Program (CMP).  To facilitate this evaluation, DCM is soliciting public comment concerning the conformance of the proposed project with the CMP.
