Please join us in welcoming our 2025 summer interns! We're looking forward to a fun-filled summer!

In our Beaufort, NC office we have...
Nora Woods, Friends of the Reserve Stewardship Intern working with Central Sites Manager, Ben Wunderly
Education: A rising junior at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, studying a major concentrated in Marine Biology and Ecology and a minor in Climate Change.
About Nora: " Although I grew up in a central part of the state in Kernersville, North Carolina, the coast has always held a special place in my heart. I’ve spent many summers coming to Emerald Isle and the surrounding towns, which has allowed me to see something so special about this area. Through my time at UNC-CH, I have grown an understanding of how Earth can be both fragile and resilient at the same time. I believe that spending time outdoors with the intent to learn will lead to a future where we can take meaningful action to conserve the incredible ecosystem around us. I am so excited to help support the mission of the Rachel Carson Reserve this summer. I know there’s still so much to learn, and nature is truly the best teacher!"
