Castle Hayne Health Holdings LLC, New Hanover Co., applied to renew NPDES permit NC0051969 discharging treated wastewater to a UT to to Prince George Creek, Cape Fear River Basin. Currently, BOD, ammonia nitrogen and total residual chlorine are water quality limited. This discharge may affect future wasteload allocations in this portion of the receiving stream.

PUBLIC HEARING: The N.C. Department of Environmental Quality will hold a public hearing to accept comments on the proposed draft NPDES stormwater and wastewater permits for the Belews Creek Steam Station at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15 at the Stokes County Courthouse, 1012 Main St., Danbury, N.C. Speaker registration will begin at 5 p.m.

PUBLIC NOTICE: N.C. DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY INTENT TO ISSUE NPDES WASTEWATER PERMIT #NC0024406 AND NPDES STORMWATER PERMIT #NCS000573. Public comment or objection to the draft permits is invited. All comments received by Nov. 15, 2016 will be considered in the final determination regarding permit issuance and permit provisions.
