The North Carolina Division of Marine Fisheries is looking to enhance our communication strategies and needs your input!

The NC DMF is the state agency responsible for ensuring sustainable marine and estuarine fisheries and habitats for the benefit and health of the people of North Carolina, and has a vision to:

• Ensure healthy, sustainable marine and estuarine fisheries and habitats through management decisions based on sound data and objective analyses.
• Monitor and evaluate coastal waters for the safe harvest of molluscan shellfish and recreational uses to safeguard the public health of shellfish consumers and recreational bathers.
• Provide excellent public service by motivated employees in an open and healthy working environment.
• View public participation as essential for successful management of North Carolina’s fisheries resources.
• Enforce Marine Fisheries statutes and rules fairly and consistently.

We need YOUR input to ensure the communication, education, promotion, and collaboration opportunities we provide are relevant to the people we serve for NC DMF’s short and long term goals.
