The public is hereby notified that DWR will hold a public hearing at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 via an online WebEx meeting event detailed below. The purpose of this public hearing is to allow interested persons to submit oral comments regarding the DWR’s proposed amendments to Permanent Rules 15A NCAC 02L .0100.
Purpose: To receive comments on the proposed amendments and adoption of the NOx SIP Call Rules. Also, to receive comment on the accompanying fiscal note for the proposed amendments and adoptions.
On September 9, 2021, the Environmental Management Commission (EMC) approved proceeding to public comment on the NOx SIP Call Rules and fiscal note.
There are a total of four rules going to public comment: 15A NCAC 02D .1401, .1402, .1424, and .1425.
Comments will be accepted until October 15, 2021. Comments can be submitted by email to DAQ.publiccomments@ncdenr.gov with the subject line "NC RH SIP" or by voicemail at 919-707-8403. Members of the public can also provide comments during the Public Hearing.

Any person wishing to comment may submit a written statement for inclusion in the record of proceedings regarding the pre-hearing draft of the Regional Haze State Implementation Plan (SIP) for North Carolina Class I Areas for the Second Planning Period (2019- 2028). Written comments should be submitted electronically or postmarked no later than Friday, October 15.
