In the abundance of caution, to address protective measures to help prevent the spread of COVID19, the Department of Environmental Quality, Division of Air Quality (DAQ), is rescheduling the public hearing initially scheduled for March 17, 2020 and March 18, 2020, which were cancelled due to Covid-19 social distancing concerns, and is now rescheduled as a digital public hearing on May 4, 2020.

The public hearing originally scheduled for April 7 for the issuance of a hazardous waste draft renewal operating permit for the U.S. Coast Guard Base in Elizabeth City has been rescheduled for Thursday, June 11, in Courtroom C at the Pasquotank County Courthouse, based on public health guidance to reduce the spread of COVID-19.
