The Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC) works with the Leadership Council on Comprehensive Conservation and Management Plan (CCMP) implementation and meaningful community-led engagement activities. The Committee aims to engage regional communities and organizations in decision-making in order to represent diverse perspectives within the estuary.
The Leadership Council for the Albemarle-Pamlico National Estuary Partnership (APNEP) works with the program office and its host agency to support, evaluate, update, advocate and guide the implementation of APNEP's mission.
The Habitat and Water Quality Advisory Committee will meet at 6 p.m. on March 18 to discuss the 2026 Amendment to the Coastal Habitat Protection Plan.
The Shellfish/Crustacean Advisory committee will meet on March 17 to discuss upcoming fishery management plans.
The Finfish Advisory committee will meet on March 12, 2026 to discuss upcoming fishery management plans.
The Albemarle-Pamlico National Estuary Partnership (APNEP) Science & Technical Advisory Committee (STAC) provides scientific and technical guidance to the Partnership on measures to restore and protect the natural resources of the Albemarle-Pamlico region. The STAC hosts meetings every four to six months to discuss a variety of topics pertinent to APNEP activities. Recent topics include, but are not limited to ecosystem-based management, ecosystem modeling, and understanding community need and hazards.
