Rachel Carson Reserve Field Trip - Boardwalk

Boardwalk trips occur at high tide. You must wear closed-toed shoes and we suggest bringing sunglasses, hats, binoculars, water, and sunscreen. Children must be at least 4 years-old to participate. The trip leaves from Beaufort on our 27' skiff. All participants are required to wear a provided PFD while on the boat. The state Secretaries’ Science Advisory Board will meet on Wednesday, April 5th in the Green Square Training Room 1210 at 10am.  The public is invited to attend the meeting in-person or online.

Division of Marine Fisheries Charter/For Hire Industry Meeting

April 4, 2023, 6pm - 8pm
The N.C. Division of Marine Fisheries will hold three outreach meetings in the coming weeks to talk with charter/for-hire fishing owners and operators.

Division Director Kathy Rawls will host the meetings to discuss the needs of the for-hire industry. The meetings will be similar to the ones held this past fall in Manteo and Hatteras where those attending the meeting can personally voice their concerns to Rawls and other Division staff.
