The division has published a public notice in the Pamlico News.

Pamlico County Water System applied to renew NPDES permit for the Vandemere WTP [NC0088358] discharging filter-backwash wastewater to Smith Creek, Neuse River Basin. Currently, Total Suspended Solids (TSS), Total Residual Chlorine (TRC), pH, Total Copper and Total Zinc are water-quality limited. This discharge may affect future wasteload allocations in this portion of Smith Creek.
