Public Comment Period for NPDES Stormwater Permit NCS000613 for the International Tie Disposal, LLC

N.C. DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY INTENT TO ISSUE NPDES

STORMWATER DISCHARGE PERMIT #NCS000613

Public comment or objection to the draft permit is invited. All comments received by 5:00pm on March 22, 2024, will be considered in the final determination regarding permit issuance and permit provisions.

PERMIT APPLICATION

International Tie Disposal, LLC has applied for new stormwater permit coverage (NCS000613). The facility is located at 174 Marks Creek Church Road, Hamlet, NC in Richmond County and intends to discharge stormwater to an unnamed tributary to Mill Creek in the Lumber River Basin. A copy of the draft stormwater permit is available online at https://www.deq.nc.gov/stormwaternotices. PUBLIC HEARING

The N.C. Department of Environmental Quality will hold a public hearing to accept comments on the aforementioned draft permit at 6:00pm on Monday, March 18, 2024, at the Richmond Community College - Cole Auditorium, 1042 W Hamlet Ave, Hamlet, NC 28345. Onsite speaker registration begins at 5:30 pm.
