MEDIA ADVISORY: State to host public hearing on Buck Steam Station water permits

<p>The state Department of Environmental Quality will host a June 13 public hearing to obtain community feedback on two draft stormwater permits and a draft wastewater permit for Duke Energy&rsquo;s Buck Combined Cycle Station.</p>

The state Department of Environmental Quality will host a June 13 public hearing to obtain community feedback on two draft stormwater permits and a draft wastewater permit for Duke Energy’s Buck Combined Cycle Station.


Written comments on the draft permits may also be submitted by email to publiccomments@ncdenr.gov with “Buck” in the subject line, or by mail to Stormwater Permitting, 1612 Mail Service Center, Raleigh, N.C., 27699-1612. All comments received by June 20 will be considered in the final determination regarding permit issuance and requirements.

Printed copies of the draft permits and related documents may also be reviewed at the Department of Environmental Quality’s Mooresville Regional Office.
