Hyde County Shellfish Lease Hearing — March 18, 2026

The N.C. Division of Marine Fisheries will hold a public hearing on proposed shellfish bottom and water column leases in Hyde County beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18, 2026. The hearing will be held in person at the Hyde County Courthouse (40 Oyster Creek Rd, Swan Quarter, NC 27885) and via Webex.

The hearing will cover the following proposed shellfish lease applications in Hyde County:

1. Good Time Charlie's Fisheries LLC (Mary E. Van Salisbury) – Shellfish Bottom and Water Column – Nos. 25-009BL / 25-010WC – 2.12 acres – Back Creek
2. Angel's Breath Oyster Company LLC (Michael L. D'Amelio) – Shellfish Bottom and Water Column – Nos. 25-011BL / 25-012WC – 4.04 acres – Rose Bay
3. Oasis Oyster Company LLC (Maxwell A. D'Amelio) – Shellfish Bottom and Water Column – Nos. 25-013BL / 25-014WC – 4.09 acres – Rose Bay

Note: The proposed lease areas will be marked at each corner as a Proposed Shellfish Bottom Lease and/or Water Column Lease with the above numbers.

Members of the public may comment on the proposed shellfish leases in person at the hearing or by Webex.

• You must pre-register to speak no later than 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Mar. 17, 2026.
