State Energy Office to hold public hearing March 17 on proposed grant application to US Department of Energy

The North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality’s State Energy Office will hold a public hearing Friday, March 17 to receive public input on its proposed grant application to the U.S. Department of Energy for the Preventing Outages and Enhancing the Resilience of the Electric Grid program created under the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA).

Public hearing to be held April 27 on proposed High Quality Waters and Outstanding Resource Waters reclassifications in Watauga River Basin

The North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ)’s Division of Water Resources (DWR) will hold a public hearing April 27, 2023, on a proposed amendment to its 15A NCAC 02B .0305 rule, including a High Quality Waters (HQW) reclassification for four streams and an Outstanding Resource Waters (ORW) reclassification for seven streams in the Watauga River Basin.
