EQuIS Information
EQuIS
Starting now, the Brownfields Redevelopment Section will be requiring new Brownfields projects to have their sampling data uploaded to EQuIS. This will require consultants to submit electronic data deliverables (EDDs) containing a site's relevant sampling data to BRS. An overview of EQuIS can be found on DWM's EQuIS Landing Page.
EDD Formatting Information
Data must be submitted as an electronic data deliverable (EDD) that complies with the DEQ's formatting. Information regarding formatting guidelines and a list of all of our templates can be found on the NCDEQ Format Page.
A blank EDD .xls file will have a number of tabs at the bottom known as reference tables. We do not require all of these to be filled out, however we do require a minimum of the following tables to have their required fields completed:
- Location_v1
- Sample_v1 (start_depth and end_depth columns will be required for SOIL sampling data only)
- TestResultQC_v1
- Batch_v1
Any EDDs received that do not have these four tables and their required fields completed will not be able to be loaded into the EQuIS Data Processor (EDP), and must be resubmitted with the necessary information. These four tables are universally and must also be included for every media being tested (i.e soil gas sampling, groundwater sampling, indoor air sampling, etc.).
A link to an example of a blank EDD can be found here: NCDEQ_Blank.xlsx
A link to a blank EDD containing only the required reference tables can be found here: NCDEQ_Blank_REQ.xlsx
EDD Submittal Information
EDDs can be uploaded via the assessments tab for their respective project in Dynamics. While Dynamics will accept .xls files and folders containing .xls files to be uploaded, packaging data in a .zip files containing the EDDs are preferred to reduce clutter. Once an EDD is submitted, reach out to the site's Project Manager or to Chandler Jones (chandler.jones@deq.nc.gov) to let us know that the EDD is ready to be loaded for the site.
EDDs can also be uploaded into EQuIS by consultants directly via the Sign & Submit method. A recorded overview of the Sign & Submit process can be found here.
