Notification of Intent to Issue a Consent Order

Public notice is hereby given of intent to issue a State Consent Order to the following:

Perdue Agribusiness LLC (242 Perdue Road, Cofield, NC 27922) has requested a Special Order by Consent No. S24-003 for its Cofield Facility, a 347,000 GPD wastewater treatment facility operating under discharge permit NC0089516. The North Carolina Drought Management Advisory Council classified eight counties in eastern North Carolina as experiencing severe drought, or D2 conditions, in the latest advisory issued Thursday. Another 50 counties in the Piedmont and western North Carolina were classified as experiencing moderate drought, or D1 conditions, while 32 counties were classified as abnormally dry.
