Active Stormwater Permits Map
This interactive map indicates the locations of current stormwater permitees. Be sure to check the legend to see which color dots represent which kind of permits. Note: Construction Stormwater Permits are not on this map.
How to Find Permit Data
The following are provided for informational purposes only and are updated periodically. Check the permit folder for current information on a project (modifications, rescissions, etc.)
- NPDES Construction Active/Expired Permit List as of 1/6/2026.
Permit records are available in the Construction Stormwater COCs folder of the Laserfiche repository. This data pull is updated periodically and also stored in the Active NCG01-NCG25 Permits List folder there. - NPDES Industrial Active/Expired Permit List as of 2/2/2026
Permit records are available in the General Permits and Individual Permits folders of the Laserfiche repository. - Post-Construction Active/Expired Permit List as of 2/2/2026
Several permit records are available in the SW Permits folder of the Laserfiche repository. The Division continues to scan historical Post-Construction permit files and periodically add them to the repository.
Post-Construction Stormwater Map
The current viewer is temporarily unavailable due to ESRI updates. A new viewer is coming soon, but in the meantime, please visit the DEQ GIS Open Data Portal to access the same stormwater reference permitting information. The viewer there will give you the option to search by address or zoom in to the desired location and click on the polygon for permitting guidance. Please check back for map viewer updates in March 2026.
This GIS layer viewer is only a tool to help in making final determinations about your responsibilities for permit coverage. Please read the information below about using the results of this map viewer.
Note that if that there are a number of areas currently indicated as "No Program Required" that are subject to special watershed strategies that require stormwater permit coverage. You can read about this at the Special Designations Descriptions web page.
