About Us

What is Basin Planning?

The Basin Planning Branch (BPB) is in the Division of Water Resources' (DWR) Water Planning Section.  BPB develops and maintains comprehensive basinwide plans for each of the state’s seventeen river basins. The plans include recommendations approved by the Environmental Management  Commission (EMC) to insure that the waters of the state are being protected.

About Us

BPB consists of five water resources planners, an environmental program consultant, a water resources spatial analyst, an aquatic ecologist, and a branch supervisor.
