How the Weatherization Program Works
By following some simple steps, eligible residents can receive free weatherization services, saving them money on energy bills and making their homes more comfortable and safer.
To receive free weatherization services, follow these steps
Answer a few quick answers to find your local service provider.
Applications must be placed directly with your local service provider. As part of the application, income documentation, energy bills, and proof of ownership or written permission from the landlord will be requested.
Eligible applicants may go on to a waitlist based on an application priority score.
The energy audit is an onsite inspection of your home. The assessor will complete and provide an analysis of which energy efficiency measures are best for your home.
The weatherization service provider will meet the household to explain how their crews will complete the work.
The weatherization service provider will ensure the client is satisfied and properly educated on energy conservation, health and safety.
