For Weatherization Contractors

Become a Weatherization Assistance Program Approved Subcontractor 

DEQ is continuously seeking to grow the capacity of the NC weatherization industry. Subcontractors are encouraged to contact weatherization service providers (recipients of either annual or Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act funds) in their areas served, to ask to participate in their procurement processes. Some weatherization service providers have rolling procurement processes opened year-around, others only at certain periods of time. Once entering into a contractual agreement with the weather service provider, subcontractors will need to be approved by the NC DEQ. Once approved, subcontractors are able to take advantage of free weatherization training to upskill their workforce.
