ABC Containers
North Carolina General Statutes § 18B -1006.1 require holders of certain Alcohol Beverage Commission on-premise permits to recycle beverage containers generated on-site. A statewide disposal ban also applies to these materials. ABC on-premise permit holders must submit a recycling plan as part of their annual permit renewals with the ABC Commission. Information is provided below to assist permit-holders in complying with the recycling requirements.

ABC Recycling Services Available from Local Governments
Some North Carolina counties and municipalities offer recycling services to ABC permit-holders. Contact your local government solid waste and recycling department to see if services are offered in your area.

- NCGS 18B-1006.1 requires holders of certain on-premise Alcohol Beverage Commission permits to recycle beverage containers generated on-site.
- NCGS 18B-902(h) and §18B-903(b2) require a recycling plan to be included in the application and renewal for applicable on-premise Alcohol Beverage Commission permits.
- NCGS 130A-309.10(f3) prohibits holders of certain on-premise Alcohol Beverage Commission permits from knowingly disposing of beverage containers in landfills or in an incinerator.
